Question about hypnosis interacting with memory
Post Body

I’ve noticed that people sometimes have a fixation on trance bringing them to a place where they don’t really remember what was happening during it. I’m skeptical of this actually happening (I’ve experienced both non-erotic and erotic hypnosis and this has never happened to me, even with different techniques like using visualisation, breathing exercises, strobing lights, subliminal messaging, encouraging mental triggers to form, and/or conditioning where the subject learns to associate a certain topic with pleasure).

Is this just a kink thing where people enjoy the idea of trance that obscures short-term memory, or does this actually happen to some people?

There’s a book about hypnotic amnesia in the sidebar - would something like that be able to help answer my question(s) on this?
