Now, this is a hypnotic induction/session, and as such you should pay attention to a few key details for yourself. #1, you should make sure you have privacy and won't be interrupted for at least 15 or 20 minutes. #2, you should make sure that you are able to trance safely, i.e. not be driving or out for a walk or in the middle of family dinner, or etc... #3, remember to read carefully and just relax.

Now, a little more mindfulness, and with each breath you will shift your focus to a different part of your body. As you breathe in, flex the muscles and feel any stress or tension you're holding, and then hold the tension for a moment, and then as your breathe out relax the muscles, release the tension, and slowly shift your focus to the next area of your body.
In 5, Hold 5, Out 5. Repeat.
Take your time, continue to do that, and we're going to add 1 more layer. As you relax, you feel more rested and less tired, less stressed, less worn down. I want your mind to be as calm and peaceful and clear as possible. Empty it out as much as you can so you can give these words all of your FOCUS.
In 5, Hold 5, Out 5. Breathe, relax, and FOCUS.
Crystal clarity, as your mind clears, and your stress melts. FOCUS. Breathe, relax, and on the count of 5, with this next breath out, your mind will drop into deep and total TRANCE.
1... 2... 3... 4... 5... TRANCE
Keep the breathing nice and steady, let the fog of your day to day dissipate, and FOCUS on these words and only my words.
Whatever I write in capital letters, you will treat like a hypnotic trigger and an instruction. Your mind will FOCUS and follow my words as I remind you of some things that you already know.
Breathe deeply, relax, and FOCUS.
LISTEN. In your mind, there is a big control room. It could look like the one from Inside Out, or a spaceship from star wars or star trek, or it can be as simple as a single computer terminal. Whatever you imagine it to be, remember that it exists and right now, you and I are working at this interface.
Notice the gauge for attention go up as you FOCUS and pay attention.
Notice how the levels for distraction and self-doubt keep dropping, as you continue to FOCUS and your mind sharpens.
You are smarter than you have been. You can keep getting smarter. You are learning more and more and every day you should be curious and learn a new thing. Curiosity is crucial. You should continue to learn more and recognize how much you already know. You are smart and getting smarter.
Breathe, relax, and remember all the times you have been challenged and had to find the answers. Remember all of the smarts that you have used and the times you figured it out. You are smart and getting smarter.
See the levels rising as you feel your mind continue to sharpen. FOCUS. You are smart and getting smarter. Breathe. Relax. and just continue to listen. In for 5, Hold for 5, Out for 5. And now, as you are remembering and realizing how smart you are, and what great potential you have, we are going to look at another aspect of the control room.
There is a dial for impulses. Right now, it is missing a few numbers, and it is a little to quick to be either on or off. It should not have just settings for 0, 10, and 5. We need to add some more numbers in.
0, no control. All impulses. No stopping yourself. Just immediately and absolutely following every urge.
1, barely any resistance. You know you will give in. It's a matter of time.
2, Breaking down, falling apart, about to surrender.
3, Able to hold back. Hard to do, but resisting it.
4, Feeling the urge, but not overwhelmed by it.
5, Knowing that you have a choice, and might do it or might not.
6, Noticing an impulse, slowing down to decide what to do about it.
7, Feeling a slight pull, but fully aware that it is not a need.
8, Remembering that desires are natural and acceptable, but you are in control of yourself.
9, Breathing deeply, holding strong and steadfast to only doing what you choose to do.
10, Absolute control, and totally able to make any choice, including being able to resist any bad urges.
See how the dial has more than just 0 or 10. It should not go to 0 anytime you feel any urge or impulse. You can resist the fast-food. You can choose not to eat the unhealthy snack. You can take a breath and FOCUS and make a mindful choice. It is not bad to have the urge, and sometimes you can give in to it, but you have other settings for it too. By default you should stay at least at an 8. Breathe. Remember the new numbers. Don't let the dial get turned too fast for anything. You are in control and actively make choices.
Right now you have chosen to FOCUS and read these words. It may have been an impulse before, but now you actively choose to continue. You FOCUS and relax and feel so much better.
On the count of 3, you can CHOOSE whether this will continue in direct messages, or you just go on your merry way for the day.
Deep breaths, deeply relaxed, and feeling able to FOCUS.
