I've been studying and using hypnosis since I was a student (a staggering 20 years ago now), I've been actively involved in kink, including erotic hypnosis, for about half that time, and curious about/into CNC for about half that time again. Finding opportunities to explore any of these interests is disappointingly rare - finding opportunities to combine them are even rarer!

Last week I was fortunate to spend some time with a play-partner/sub who, due to geography, I am normally only able to play with remotely. Luckily, our interests, kinks, and proclivities line up pretty perfectly - I introduced them to hypnosis, but besides that, we found each other as mutually depraved souls!

So with all that in place, we took the opportunity to try something I have wanted to do for a long time - hypnosis-induced roleplay. They and I were both into the idea of playing out some different scenes and scenarios, playing on power imbalances, abused authority, and such the like. But they felt extremely self-conscious about the idea of "performing" a role, of not being able to to get into the scenario, and or not feeling immersed enough.

Luckily, they had already proved themselves to be a good hypnotic subject, so it seemed like the perfect opportunity to take them into trance, and lay down the suggestions that they would, for the duration of the play, BE the person, in the situation that we'd agreed on, and that it would feel as real as they needed it to. Now obviously, we had extensive consent discussions first, and I made sure that they knew that there would be enough of their 'subconscious' observing in the background that would keep them safe, and could safeword out of the whole situation if it ever crossed any lines or became too much.

And I am very glad to say, that it worked like an absolute dream (almost literally, as they described it). They were able to fully immerse themself in the situation, experiencing it as pretty much real (with just a vague understanding somewhere in the back of their mind that they were safe). They never felt like they were performing, because they were responding honestly, in the moment, to what they perceived to be reality. Their complete lack of self-consciousness also meant I was able to play my part much easier, and immerse myself in their reality (while still keeping as much of a close eye on them as I needed to at any given time). At the end of each scenario I brought them instantly back to reality - and there, each time, I saw my amazing sub coming back to themselves, beaming with joy at the experience I'd just put them through, so that we could go safely and happily into aftercare and debrief on what had happened.

We took the opportunity to play out a date rape scenario, a photo-shoot gone wrong, and (because sometimes you have to try these things out) an invisible man/angry ghost scenario (that last one sounds daft, but they were legitimately terrified at being attacked by something they couldn't see - it was fantastic!)

All in, it was an amazing series of play sessions, and I'm definitely keen to see where else I can take the idea!
