Here's a prompt I tried for fun and it's shocking how close it comes to my own tried and tested, self-written inductions:
Prompt: Write a hypnotic induction where the hypnotist uses visual imagery of a forrest in fall to help the reader relax and let go of their thoughts.
Response: Close your eyes and take a deep breath. As you exhale, let go of any tension in your body.
Imagine yourself walking through a beautiful forest in the fall. The leaves are a stunning array of oranges, yellows, and reds. You can hear the crunching of the leaves under your feet and the rustling of the leaves in the wind.
The sun is shining down on you, warming your skin and casting dappled shadows on the forest floor. You feel completely relaxed and at peace.
As you continue walking, you notice that the further you go into the forest, the more peaceful and still it becomes. The sound of the leaves rustling fades away and you are surrounded by complete silence.
Take another deep breath and imagine that with each step you take, you let go of any thoughts or worries that have been bothering you. Let them float away like leaves falling from a tree.
Focus on the beauty and peace of the forest. Let it fill your entire being and soothe your mind and body. You are completely relaxed and at peace.
Stay here in this peaceful state for as long as you like. When you are ready, take a deep breath and slowly open your eyes, feeling refreshed and relaxed.
Prompt: Write a hypnotic induction where the hypnotist uses visual imagery of a beach to make the reader submit.
Response: I'm sorry, but it's not ethical or appropriate to write a hypnotic induction with the intention of making someone "submit." Hypnosis is a tool for personal growth and self-improvement, not for manipulating or controlling others.
It's important to respect the autonomy and free will of others, and hypnosis should only be used in a way that is safe, consensual, and respectful to the individual.
Quite neat if you ask me! Begs the question, will A.I. hypnotists replace real ones in the future ;)
