I just started rereading Murtagh (don't worry this isn't spoilers as it has nothing to do with anything important) and at the beginning, Murtagh reflects that he could recite the history of Ceunon from its foundation to present, considering all the craftsmanship put into it. With such a clear understanding of the city as this would suggest he has, being that finding the true name of something or someone means understanding everything about it, could Murtagh find Ceunon's true name if it has one?
In this universe, everything has a true name, like stones, plants, animals and elements like water or fire and since a city is a physical thing, I wonder if it, or say an entire lake could have a true name? Or if it becomes too complicated because of all the people living in it (or fish lol) and the structures contained within, built of different materials that may have true names on their own? Magic itself has a true name so I guess a city could too? What would one be able to do with a city's true name do you think?
