I got thrown in a new CAT GC40 haul truck with around 1500hrs the other day and let me say I was HIGHLY DISAPPOINTED ☹️ I’m not on a huge site atm but these trucks are SLOW and the ride inside the cab is rougher then a D6 in a rock yard!! I ran a 2022 Komatsu 30ton haul truck at my other site and a older JD 30Ton at my last job and they both were way faster not only the speed but when dumping and letting the bed back down like a noticeable difference and half the time the auto bed didn’t and and the displays are outdated along with the back up cam then Komatsu, that had seemed like a HD cam and a display that was updated. And not to mention that the auto retarder starts at the moment you go down any tiny bump/slope. Highly disappointed in the new CAT haul trucks, can’t wait to be back in my dozer😴😴
