First starter horse trial

Post Body

Iโ€™m doing my first horse trial in probably 10-15 years in a few weeks! I used to do eventing when I was a teenager but itโ€™s been a long time. I am just doing elementary level, 18โ€™ to 2โ€ jumps. Dressage test is Intro A. Itโ€™s a schooling / starter trial.

I am forgetting a lot of the etiquette/attire rules.

For dressage, is a coat, stock tie, etc needed? Will people be wearing polos? Can I get away with hunter-style attire? Do I need a white saddle pad? I do not own a dressage saddle.

I have a medical armband and safety vest. Anything else I should be remembering for the jumping/cross country rounds?

Thanks!! Iโ€™m super nervous. Iโ€™m not as brave in my 30s as I was when I was 16 :(
