Advice on rehoming a young Horse?

Post Body

In DFW north Texas area. Originally got her from the auction thinking she was 7-10. Ended up much younger and the teenage attitude isn’t really something I can deal with. She’s a beautiful 3 1/2 year old 13.1 pony that also has a very occasional locking stifle. Has seen a vet and his advice to just let it fix itself as she grow and puts on muscle is helping. She has put on A LOT of muscle since being here 6-7 weeks. I don’t mind that, and don’t mind getting her injections done or even surgery. I just don’t want to deal with the attitude of a younger horse. I’ve been very spoiled by how well my 19 yo mare acts and I feel comfortable with her around my kids. I do not feel comfortable with them around the pony. Any advice on making sure she goes to a good home? No chance I would ever run her through the auction. I have someone interested across the state but it would be a couple weeks till they make it out, if they even decide they want her. I reached out to a rescue local about taking her and giving one of their end of life horses a good home so I wasn’t adding to the problem. And I know she will be a fantastic horse and she is built extremely well. Very strong and very fast. I just don’t want her to end up in a shit hole 20x20 pen somewhere in someone’s back yard like so many horses do here, eat cow grade hay and cheap sweet feed with no fresh grass. Advice please.

And yes I have been working with her already and contemplated sending her for training but she will still be young and act accordingly. I guess I’m just an older laid back and lazy horse person.
