What do you think of these x rays? 9 year old QH mare blew an abscess out of her coronary band 2 months ago, farrier came out last week and found another pocket in her sole same foot. Has been lame in the trot since she blew the abscess

Last week the vet blocked her foot to make sure it was just her foot hurting, which it was she was probably 95% sound after the block. and we got some x rays done. Currently working with a new farrier he has come out 2 times now 6 weeks in between.

Negative for the hoof testers, slight head bob in the trot especially in a right circle.

In the one x ray I have circled in RED the bone growth that is concerning, and the pocket from the abscess

Vet recommended more toe taken off and sole dug out, which you can’t do in one trim we are working on that with our new farrier. As well as shoes on the front. Farrier is well known in our area and does great work so I am pretty confident that we can work with this.
