First time owner so not entirely sure how to tell the difference as they look quite similar to me. I posted yesterday about him kicking out behind him so I was searching the leg he’s sore on and found this in his feathers (he’s an Irish draught). He is also quite stiff on the same foot however he has arthritis so that’s more than likely contributing. He’s still on a bit of bute but I’m ideally stopping him on Saturday and possibly putting him on stall rest as he has a touch of thrush too (thanks Irish weather!). Calling the vet tomorrow morning for a treatment plan by the way. Also isn’t crossing his back legs to itch but he is itching his front. Didn’t check them today as he was getting a bit upset but will check them first thing in the morning. Sorry if the photos aren’t the best!
