My horse has been having random spouts of lameness since getting him and I’ve finally gotten the opportunity to call a vet out. I’ve been doing research in the meantime and I believe it may be ringbone. If it is my parents won’t be able to afford surgery and treatment may not work. He is my first horse and was supposed to be my main riding horse. I had goals of competing and eventing, now I might not even be able to ride him. The vets are coming in a week and I’m dreading it. Regardless of what the diagnosis is, I’m going to keep him for as long as he’s comfortable but it just hurts to know that I might never ride him again
