Let me preface this. Iāve loved horses forever, but never gotten to own any. My hands-on knowledge is extremely limited from a barn I used to work at as the office manager (but I did help with the horses a lot when our lead groom left).
Iāve been following online barns/horse owners for a while and Iāve seen some of them discussed here, but I want to know more details, and I want to know if the others I havenāt seen discussed are good.
First up is Elements Arabians, previously known as Windsong Sabino Arabians, owned by Stephanie Wind, based in Colorado, USA. They shut down their website, elementsarabians.com, around 2015/2016, and I barely see anything about the lines she bred aside from the grandget and great-grandget. After she sold her stallion to France (he was registered in USA as Legally Intoxicating, born 2007), I think things just went downhill.
Secondly is B & L Horse Ranch, based in Kansas. They focused on AQHA and Appaloosa horses, but I havenāt seen or heard anything from or regarding them since maybe 2011/2012. One of my family members used to do business with them so Iām hoping they canāt be that bad, and that they just kinda ādropped off the map.ā
Iād like to know more tea on Andrew Pearman of Pearman Ranch. I started following him in late 2022 because I saw Hubert VDM on one of my āthings you may likeā suggestions, and thought he was absolutely stunning. However, after watching him all this time, Iāve felt like heās a bit cocky and not the nicest person. After reading some comments on here, itās made it clearer to me that heās probably just a trash person who likes pretty ponies.
Katie Van Slyke is another Iād like to know more info on. I havenāt watched her much aside from ābaby Seven,ā which is pretty much when I really found out who she was. I think his story is interesting, and great for the equine science world, but I feel so very bad for that colt. His quality of life has got to be awful. Iāve seen some negative comments here and there on this sub about her but never really looked into it. Spill the tea.
I follow Double Z farm online and they post cute stuff. Never seen or heard anything negative but I know everything I see is carefully reviewed before posting so I may only see the good.
Tell me other horse owners/trainers/barns/businesses that I should avoid.
I enjoy Arabians. Tell me about Shea Stables, Maroon Fire Arabians (both known very well for owning/standing Afire Bey V and IXL Noble Express ), Conway Arabians, Kiesner Training (I know them for showing Maroon Fireās stud, Inception, as well as his sire, IXL Noble Express ), and Chase N It Farms (stood the beautiful sabino stud, Rhocky Rhoad).
