INSPIRATION <- is the flair
I just ran across this documentary of Harry DeLeyer and Snowman. I'd read the book, hadn't seen the movie. It gave me shivers just to find it.
So I just wanted to put this out there, for whoever needs to hear it. That sometimes, with a little knowledge, a great deal of luck, and a bond, you can find a special horse that's been overlooked by others, and discover a talent that far exceeds expectations.
It's a story not just about luck in finding a good horse - but the circumstances that made him into a "good horse" - the bond he formed with his rescuer
And if the circumstance of the horse itself is not inspiring, hear the story of Harry himself, who came to America as a poor immigrant, gifted property on a TN tobacco farm by an American soldier he helped in WWII, worked the tobacco farm, scraped and saved to buy a horse farm where he started a riding school, and continued to work hard for everything that came later.
If you haven't seen it: "Harry & Snowman" (Amazon Prime, Freevee, Pluto TV, The Roku Channel, Tubi)
It's a true story that's better than fiction. And a testament to the difference a special bond can make. You just never know . . .
