Am I the only one frustrated with how these riding schools are run?

Okay, I need to rant for a second. 😤 I’ve been riding at my local equestrian center for about a year now, and while I LOVE the horses and the instructors are great, the management and scheduling is driving me crazy!

First, why is everything STILL done on paper? We have to physically call or email to book a lesson, and half the time I don’t even know if my lesson was confirmed until the last minute. One time they double-booked me and I showed up only to be told there wasn’t a spot! 😡

On top of that, the horse allocation seems random. I feel like I’m always being put on a different horse that’s totally not suitable for me – some too advanced, others too lazy. I’m here to improve my riding, not start from scratch with a new horse every week!

Has anyone else had similar issues with their barn? I get that horse riding schools aren’t the most tech-savvy, but come on, we’re in 2024! How do you guys deal with this? Or am I just expecting too much? Would love to hear your thoughts, especially if anyone has found a barn that actually runs smoothly! 🙏
