Just wanted to drop a quick note that the Show Hors-e Association is doing its September horse show with TCU’s Director of Equestrian, Haley Schoolfield (R), judging.

SHA was created because of a lack of feedback from judges when showing. We all know what we place, and occasionally get a score, but we don’t know why we lost points or where we can do things better next time around. With SHA, you get placings as well as a breakdown from the judge on how to improve/what to work on.

We have classes for over fences, to western pleasure, to ranch. Haley has coached several riders to “Big 12 Rider of the Year” awards in reining, horsemanship, and over fences (all of which are offered). They’re $20 to enter, but a sponsor is covering all Youth Horsemanship patterns for September.
