So my mare had an esophageal obstruction on Sunday and the vet came out.
Now she's noticably salivating and it's obvious she has trouble chewing - but she's chewing and swallowing again. The vet will come do her teeth next week on Thursday, but I'm so worried something else will happen till then.
I also feel like I failed her ... I bought her in October of last year and if I just had the vet do her teeth sooner instead of saving up some money first maybe this wouldn't have even happened.
The barn owner (who has more experience, I'm a first time owner) says I shouldn't worry, as my mare isn't deathly ill and the vet is coming soon, but I just can't help myself 😟.
I just feel so worried and guilty and honestly need some reassurance that I'm doing right by her ðŸ˜
