My old boarding situation was not serving my horse very well. He's only 13 months old so I was very worried about the 1.5 hour trailer ride and how he would react in a new, stressful situation. But honestly, he was completely fine! I need to just start trusting him.
He's already found his new best friend (everyone was hoping these two would pair off) and I made some new acquaintances. People were coming over and sitting with me under a tree as I watched him. Everyone was very genuine and kind. It was nice. I was so nervous for nothing and I'm glad I followed my gut in moving my horse. It warmed my heart so much to see him flying around the pasture with his friend.
I feel so much relief for both of us. He will grow up and live a good life here.
