Verbal Praise - Do Horses Care?
Post Flair (click to view more posts with a particular flair)
Post Body

I am a bit of a Chatty Cathy with my horses. Working on taming that habit. My question is, when I'm riding and my horse and I accomplish a particularly lovely transition (for example) and I tell him hens a rock star, does he take that as praise? Or does he think "Blah blah blah"?

Comments

Personally I think it truly helps keep you in a good mindframe/position, combined with physical praise, Iā€™m all about talking to horses even if the old school guys are stoically against it lol
