What are some of the biggest misconceptions that you feel people have about Equestrians?

I know for me, a biggiebid how much things cost. The parents of my lesson kids are always shocked when I tell them how much a bake of hay, bag of feed, tack, etc cost.
What about y'all?

I have a physical disability that sometimes makes walking kinda painful (specifically the impact through my knees). I am grateful there are so many good horses around who are willing to be my legs. I was never into "hiking" until I figured out you could do it from horseback.
