Am I epileptic???
Post Body

On Halloween myself (24f) and my boyfriend (25) went to a gig. While we were there I had 3 seizures. We left 3 times and stood outside because I felt the lights were too bright.

I decided to go back in and was feeling okay. Then one of the strobe lights pointed directly at me, it then flashed, then I was on the floor. All I really remember from the actually seizure was my head hitting the floor again and again and again and beating loads of people talking/shouting. I then came too a little bit. I was on the floor and there was a nurse and some of the staff standing over me. I then vomited all over myself, I realised later on I had wet myself at some point as well. I then started to have another seizure.

After this the next thing I really remember is being in the medical room with paramedics. The lights were really bright which was making me feel sick. I then had another seizure. I have no recollection of this apart from being on the bed then somehow being on the floor with my head under the bed and my boyfriend standing by me talking to me.

My boyfriend has told me that during the seizures my back was arched and my body was shaking quite violently. He said it just looked like it was trying to get everyone away from me and like I didn’t have control of my legs and arms. At one point I hit a paramedic in my face as he was trying to help me.

I then got taken to A&E. They did bloods and a CT scan. The CT scan was normal, same with the bloods. They said they couldn’t see a reason for it. I had been drinking but not a lot. I hadn’t taken any drugs. I’ve been told that I’m not allowed to drive until the I have an epilepsy assessment. I have a pretty bad concussion but apart from that I’m okay. Thankfully I haven’t had anymore.

I didn’t know if this sounds like a typical epileptic seizure? Honestly this was one of the scariest moments of my life and I just want a bit of advice. Also what actually happens at an epilepsy assessment??

Sorry for such a long post 😂
