Is this a sign to change neurologists?

Post Body

I was in a hospital that she doesn’t have privileges at. However, the epileptologist that was on staff did dictate/read my last EEG. I get my tests done there since the hospital where my primary epileptologist is doesn’t accept my insurance. I pay her out of pocket.

Anyway, I ended up admitted to that hospital after being taken to the ER by ambulance. I had 2 TC’s within 30 minutes. One at home with uncommon (for me) struggling to breathe that had my partner calling 911. Then another just as I got in the room at the ER. I messaged my primary and her nurse said they’d be in touch. It’s been a week. I haven’t heard from them once. I was even put on a new medication in addition to the ones I’m on by the doctor in the hospital. My primary requested my file from the ER and I know they got it. That file says I’m at a higher risk for SUDEP now and my epilepsy is “likely intractable”. Is it uncommon that she hasn’t tried to contact me once? Mind you, these seizures happened a week after she upped my keppra 500mg and my topamax 25mg.
