New to this sub but hoping for some guidance on what I should expect.
I acknowledge that I am probably getting ahead of myself but trying to figure out what I should expect.
I (M39) had what my neurologist is saying was an epileptic seizure about a month and a half ago - since then I have had no additional seizures. Iโve had full bloodwork done that came back clean except for low blood sugar. I have a MRI next week but below are the results from my EEG. In your experience, do these EEG results lead to a certain diagnosis over another (or no diagnosis at all)?
EEG Results:
โThis was an abnormal EEG in the awake and drowsy state because of rare left temporal spike waves, and bursts quasi rhythmic sharply contoured slowly arising from the right temporal region with broad spread. These findings are suggestive of a potentially epileptongenic focus rising from the left temporal region and also the right temporal region of the brain.โ
Thanks in advance!
