I'm finished. I essentially guide my care along with my epileptologist, but I'm weary of experimenting with various treatments like the RNS and dealing with daily clusters. I requested to begin tapering off Depakote, which I've been on for a year now. I don't understand why I was prescribed that medication. The tapering process has been rapid, all this time compromising the levels of Lamictal, a medication that has been effective for me for many years. Regardless, I refuse to take any more risks with medications. I can't tolerate the bad side effects or contraindications. It's frustrating how incompetent doctors keep accepting more and more patients. Over time, you just feel like you're nothing.
I’ll remain in lamictal, Aptiom soon to be gone , Depakote I should be done in 3 weeks , Klonopin stays with Trazodone to zzz and whatever , lots and lots of strong af edibles 🤷🏻♂️not a panacea but it does work !
