Tips to help tongue bites
Post Body

Long time lurker, first time poster.

I started having full tonic clonic seizures last year (coming up on a year now, oof) and almost every time I bite the ever living shit out of my tongue. I had two in one night last week and my tongue is swollen and raw from how much I bit it. It makes eating incredibly painful and difficult and I have to stick with soft things for about a week after.

I've been just going with the tylenol and oragel on repeat route since but I was wondering if anyone had any tips or tricks you've picked up to ease the pain or improve healing times? As if seizing wasn't enough, but to have these lingering effects just seems like a slap to the face.

Appreciate any insight!
