So my EoE has flared up godawfully the past few months. Since early June I've not been able to swallow solid food, it's all been blended. And even those and liquids feel like they're sticking in my throat so I have to take tiny sips. It's hellish.
I've been very strictly on the big 8 elimination diet since end of July
I've been on double dose PPI since early July
I've been on swallowed steroids since mid July
I've been doing literally everything I can, attacking this from all angles and nothing seems to be improving things. Do I need to wait a little longer? Am I doing something wrong?
I'm at my wits end with this.
I'm so desperate I'll try it. I eat chicken and rice regularly. What could you recommend to replace chicken, pork or beef?
A couple days? Holy crap that's fast. I'm going to start from tomorrow morning, I'll try anything at this point.
Blended sweet potatoes and lamb mince for the rest of the week. Yum(?)
I get on double dose ppi and over months it slowly gets better. The rate of improvement is so gradual you really have to look back to notice the improvement.
This time I've had enough and I'm finding out what sets me off. I can't live my life worrying that I'll have a debilitating 2 - 3 months of being unable to eat at random points.
My meals are basically runny slop and nearly two months in I'm sadly used to it. I wouldn't mind so much if they didn't sometimes sit in my throat too. Ugh fuck this disease man.
Haha thanks I'll give that a go. Did you notice improvement fairly quickly once you cut chicken, beef, pork etc?
Also, I see potato and rice on that list, no clue what I could replace those with
