How to become Environmental tech with a social science degree and conservation corps experience?
Post Body

Hi all,

I am wondering if am qualified to be an environmental technician with a degree in political science and religious studies and a background with the California Conservation Corps.

At the CCC, I have experience with floodlighting, emergency response/logistical support to Cal Fire, fuel reduction projects at the state parks, and trail construction.

Through the CCC, I also got certifications in Utility Vegetation Management and Pre-inspection and am currently working on my HAZWOPER. I also have a bunch of certifications related to energy as well.

Would I be qualified to take a job as an environmental technician or would I need additional certifications?

Thank you
