Becoming an influencer - Not what you’re expecting
Post Body

As a millennial considering the path of becoming an influencer, I’d like to share my story and ask how you think I should approach this. Hear me out before you downvote.

Halloween marks a decade since I lost my vision due to a car accident. I didn’t let blindness define me; I worked hard, saved every possible penny of my disability check, and bought my first home two and a half years later. I was a homeowner before being able to legally purchase alcohol at the store; I didn’t even have a white cane, I held my friends elbow to view the properties. I’ve since renovated multiple properties, including a farm I flipped for profit and purchasing from the man that was my landlord growing up. I’m now moving to a condo in the Caribbean. I’ve seen blind influencer Molly Burke and listened to many motivational speakers, but they often feel fake. I want to share my real achievements while showing people what I’m currently learning, like learning BJJ or surfing, and create inspirational content. Is this a realistic dream, or should I stick to real estate? Your honest opinion matters as I’ve always been introverted and faced unique challenges in my life, like starting college at 14 and soon after encountering legal issues with the FBI for hacking. I might also be on the autistic spectrum. Be brutally honest with me here before I embarrass myself on camera.

What is the best way to do this? I’ve considered doing a podcast, YouTube channel, email list and Patrion, Only Fans, etc. I’ve thought of doing content similar to the way Sam Harris does. Have short exerts for free and offer full-length content only for subscribers. Possibly a free podcast with a subscription for all content. Thoughts, ideas or suggestions?

PS - the answer to your, “how” question is: Screenreader
