Some people may know who I am by the situation. Dont care. If theyāre on here
Iāll be light with walltext
So I am in a professional spot to where I manage large corporations repair facilities.
I learn of a new lead in a home state where the customer wanted to grow revenue and become more profitable overall.
I end up coming in. Dressed nice as always. The guy doesnāt acknowledge me for a while. Has no real interest in my attention or anything. We basically stand around for two hours shooting the shit about where heās at inbetween him taking calls etc.
Tells me to come back so I can look at the p&l agreement. So I can see where things are going. As far as production overhead etc. aswell as give him any advice in the situation he is currently in. With no obligation of me having a job or getting paid.
I come in the next day with an NDA in hand He looks at me like I have two heads when I say his legal team could look it over.
It stated we could not disclose his finances for two years. And other things to save him. The only thing I had for myself was
No use of processes owned by me without my written consent.
Instantly his wife gasps. Says Donāt dare sign it. Etc. her reason being was āweāre not sure if we are going to use you what if the next guy uses something you doā
I tell her that thatās why I have a form of written consent if that doesnāt happen.
Fast forward. I fired the customer after he said he felt like it was an attack and that we wouldnāt need it. And would need some time to think on it.
Basically Iām asking. Was I wrong. ? š is there another way to present things without having this issue? Mind you Iāve never had an issue such as this before. Just would like some outside opinions.
