Hey everyone,
I'm a 34-year-old married man with three kids. My wife works from home, and I drive trucks locally for a living, which takes up most of my time—I'm working around 65 to 70 hours a week, Monday through Saturday. The money isn't bad, but the job leaves me with very little time for my family or my personal interests.
I used to run a pressure washing business, but I ended that to get my CDL after the COVID pandemic. Now, I'm finding that my job has taken over my life, and I don't have time for the things I love—like building things, helping people, writing, and just working with my hands.
I played college football and would love to coach, but without a teaching certification, that's not really an option.
I'm at a point where I'm really craving more freedom and time with my family, but I'm scared to take the leap into entrepreneurship again. I know it would mean a lot of hard work, but the idea of having more control over my time is really appealing.
Has anyone else been in a similar situation? How did you overcome the fear of taking the leap? Any advice on balancing entrepreneurship with family life would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance!
