I have always had ideas for business. I research, have made prototypes, talked to other business owners, looked at retails spaces, etc but haven't managed to pull anything together.
Poverty and a lack of skills have been my biggest hurdles. I inherited a life changing amount of money right before the pandemic and like everyone else my life was derailed. I missed the boat on real estate from lack of credit and not enough to buy anything for cash. Starting a business wasn't possible bc shut downs, I moved, and I was learning a different skill that hasn't panned out.
So now I'm freaking out a little bit because the money will run out eventually and I have just enough to do something.
My problems seem to be lack of knowledge of how to start a business. And my risk tolerance. I feel like whatever I do has to work out or I'm totally screwed. Fear holds me back.
Also just trying to figure out where to start. How do I figure out what a retail store will cost to start. Then there online and branding and all the things. So I make lists and try to tackle each thing one at a time to avoid overwhelm but I never make it past this phase.
How have others broken this cycle?
