So for the past year I’ve been building a swipe-less dating app. A lot of thought, care, design, and work, and rework went into it. But ultimately, it was a way to stay occupied during the tech layoff apocalypse. I finished my masters at the end of 2022, and I had no internship experience cause my dad died suddenly while I was in school so job searching was kinda non-existent then.
But now it’s ready for people to use. At least, in the sense of an MVP. It’s not pretty but you can technically view profiles and chat with people. And idk how to describe it. Idk if this is how others have felt, but like once it’s out there it becomes real. The idea is out there in the world. Friends and family have talked about giving me money for a pre-seed. It goes from this idea in my head to thing people are counting on.
Have any other tech founders felt this? How did you eventually get over it?
