Entitled Karen tries to get friend to stop flying drone.
Post Body

This story is from a friend of mine. It's Covid time, so the office is pretty barren, and we have a large parking lot. So while in the office he decides to take a break and fly his drone around. We have some railroad tracks that border the lot so he flies up and down them, taking some cool videos and such, when the Karen of our story enters... She comes out of the building next door to us, that we share a parking lot with.

Karen: Excuse me, but you can't fly that here in this parking lot, this is private property.

Friend: I work here, so I'm allowed to be here.

Karen: That doesn't matter, you can't fly drones over private property without permission.

Friend: You are wrong. The FAA controls all airspace, not private property owners.

Karen sputters for a moment, then replies: Well I'm going to call the cops.

Friend: Fine, then when they get here, I'll show them the FAA regulations and the map that shows that this parking lot is not restricted, and I can fly my drone here no problems.

Karen then just stands there staring at him. He had landed the drone by now since Karen was bugging him and he didn't want to crash it. Then Karen starts up again.

Karen: Well, I'm going to call the cops anyway, and tell them that I feel threatened by your drone.

Friend: How are you threatened? I haven't seen you out here. The drone came nowhere near you inside your office.

Karen: It doesn't matter, I'll tell them I was out here and you harassed me with the drone.

Friend: Good luck with that, it takes video, and I'll show the cops it never came near you.

Karen sputters some more, trying to come up with something to say, but ultimately decides to just huff and walk off back into her building.

My friend continued to play with his drone until the batteries died. Surprise! No cops showed up.

I know not a super long story, but I thought I would share anyway.
