Me: Security guard EG 1: Entitled Guy 1 EG 2: Entitled Guy 2 BT: Bartender RG: Regular Guest

So, I used to work as a security guard at a casino in New Mexico, native owned. One of my jobs was to walk the floor and call out any problems. I.E. busted machines, banned guests, jackpots, and silver miners. (Silver miners were people that liked to swipe petty change tickets and use them in the slot machines)

While making my rounds on the floor, I get a radio call to the Round Bar. There's three guys in an argument. I ask what's going on. EG 1 and EG 2 say that RG had taken their seats. Mind, these guys are roughly in their mid to late 50s.

So I take BT to the side and get the story. Apparently, EG 1 and 2 had left the bar to go play the slots. They had been gone for about 45 minutes. RG had asked BT a few times if the seats are taken. Knowing that they have been gone for quite some time, BT says it's fine.

So I go back and tell EG 1 and 2 that there are a bunch of other seats and if they wanted, they could find others.

Hoo boy, they did not like that. They go off about how much money they spend there and how RG took their seats and their drinks were still there so they had the right to sit where they were.

Once again, these two are past 50, and they're making a fuss about seats. Like, seriously?

So I shrug and tell them that they have been gone for almost an hour with no indication of coming back.

They both walk out of the casino and say, "This is an outrage! We're never gonna come back here again!"

RG walks up to me and asks if he's in trouble. I tell him he's not, and walk away to continue my rounds.

Not even two days later, who do I see? EG 1, on a slot machine.

We make eye contact and I wave. He whips his head back to the screen and stares till I keep walking.

Kids fight over seats. Good Lord, some people.
