I was in the 8th grade when this happened and we would have home room in this part of the school that’s kinda secluded because our teacher shared a room with another teacher and there was nowhere else they could put us. We waited for the teacher to show up and another student was with me. Than another student who was female walked up to me and started slapping me for literally no reason.
While she is slapping me I’m just taking it, never placing a hand on her. Other students are watching me getting slapped by this girl and soon the teacher steps in and asked us what was going on, and this is where things get bad.
Girl: this kid punched me in the face!!!
Teacher: report him to the principal and the SRO. (Student Resource Officer [WHO WORKS FOR THE POLICE])
Me: I never laid a finger on her!
Teacher: you know it’s illegal to hit a girl? Right?
Me: It’s illegal to hit anyone!
Teacher: than why did you hit her?
Me: I never hit her!
Teacher: why I should I believe you, you are a man!
Me: gender has nothing to do with it! Plus she hit me first so if I did hit her I could be acquitted on the basis on self defense!
Teacher: shut up.
Another student showed up late and another student who saw the incident told her that I punched this girl. She than asked me why I punched her and I told her that I didn’t. The teacher then escorted me out of her classroom.
I was later given a hall pass which had a note from the principal that said SEE ME IMMEDIATELY! in all caps. I was so fucking pissed! Because I did absolutely nothing wrong and I’m being accused of battery! (Assault is when there is evidence of aggression that has lasted for more than 24 hours) The principal was on my teachers side and didn’t want to hear my side of the story.
Nothing was done until the next day when they made me change home rooms. She never apologized to me and this only happened because a student watched the whole thing and felt bad.
