Hello I'm writing this story on a mobile device, so I fervently ask to forgive the format. Sorry for the long post and I mean no one any harm by this.

This story that I am about to tell is one that I will never forget and one I want to share. Before I do that let me introduce my cast. My story starts a year ago in my senior year of highschool. It was coming close to the end of the year in late May. I attended a public magnet school. The student body was very active on the campus and hosted a variety of events. One of these events was pride week.

Which was done because we couldn't have a pride month in summer so we made do. The school had set up rainbow tassels around the quad and school buildings. We had the pride week where we talked about LGBTQ bullying and representation of the community. The week ended with the day of silence.

This was a event dedicated to the silencing of LGBTQ students from bullying. I thought was the end of it until I heard from an associate she'd gotten into an argument with Christians. Then I heard from my AFs that the Rainbow Pride Flag was taken down and replaced with a Christian Flag. After the flag all the rainbow tassels were taken down and thrown away. Ironically enough the flag wrapped around the pole everytime the people put it up.

The next week we had a national prayer day dedicated to solely Christianity. I was surprised they could do this on a public campus and make it about one religion. Word spread that it Dr. Heroine the school dean and Senior CC Ms. Dietz. There was also word of a janitor throwing away the tassels and taking down the flag. Sienna told me that they heard from someone that they saw both SD and the SCC taking pictures and laughing.

This made me disappointed and slightly angry but not surprised. John then brought it up when we were in our GSA meeting. Which Mr. Friedrich said was very shocking information but not to go off what was said. During this time period, I saw teachers discussing the whole ordeal and how wrong it was. It had to a point where students were going to stage a protest.

This was done with the help of Ms. Savior. What made this more surprising was the fact the principal started talking with Ms. Savior about the protests. While Mr. Lee our AAP had dug through the trash to get most of Rainbow tassels. During one of my class sessions my teacher Mr. Friedrich brought up the national prayer day and incident.

One of my fellow classmates Ariel said that ASB was commissioned by Ms. Dietz. ASB had only three days to do it and had to remove most the requested themes. Dr. Heroine also had a track record being homophobic with stories of her threatening to right up gay couples and out them to their parents. The principal held a staff lunch and investigation.

Within the same day the protest occurred and the pride flag was raised again. What happened during the student lunch was shocking. Ms. Dietz and Dr. Heroine were arguing with several teachers. At some point I heard that Ms. Dietz said "Homosexuality is a lifestyle choice and it was being forced on her".

In the end these two individuals got to attend the Senior dinner and graduation. After these events came the consequences. Dr. Heroine couldn't be fired out right but could be voted out of her position. She was a teacher at first but was voted to be the dean for 4 years. Not only was she not voted to continue her position but wasn't allowed to return as a teacher. Ms. Dietz was fired and changed schools. The aftermath showed me a different side to these people and who they are.

TLDR: Dean and Senior class counselor try to spoil pride week and are offended by it. They try to have their own celebration and commit vandalism. In the end cause drama around the school and lose their jobs.
