My AIL I will call her Karen looks like an average Asian woman who’s only nice until you rub her the wrong way but she talks crap behind everyone’s back no matter what. She has always looked down on my family, like we are the annoying peasants she has to deal with for her husband (my uncle). Almost everyone in my family hates her. So regarding about me and her, she hates me because I’m Fat. She will never fail to mention it to me whenever she sees me. She loves to cause drama and my uncle barely ever talks to her cuz he loves her with all his heart…idk why when she talks crap about him too. She told her family (my cousin told me) she’s ashamed that her husband is a janitor. She’s a nail technician so it’s not like I see her being more superior. So I normally say nothing to her when she does snark remarks at me to keep the peace because end of day I know what comes around goes around. Well it was my cousin’s birthday party. They were having BBQ and when some of it was coming out, all my cousins and I sat down to eat and laugh about stuff. I had one piece of bbq Gaibi rib and some veggies. I was about to grab another piece and she saw me to proceed to get one.

She called me out loudly and angrily “ DON’T EAT ALL THE MEAT OP ITS FOR OTHER GUEST TOO AND I DON’T WANT HAVE TO GO OUT TO BUY MORE CUZ YOU EAT TO MUCH!!” I never done that before at other birthdays or family gathering to finish all the meat…but when she said that I instantly teared up. I been working on myself and don’t eat as much as I use to if fact I get full much quicker then I use too ( I use to be able to do two plates but now I can barely finish one plate of food) also working out too. My Cousin tried to tell Karen that I barely had one. She didn’t listen to him and said “ Stop crying you big baby, I’m just saying don’t eat it all like you always do!” My uncle came out and heard her and saw me with tears. He yelled at her and he rarely ever does that. He told Karen that she needs to shut up and she’s ruining the birthday. She tried to defend herself but he shut her down quick. He told me ignore her and eat as much as I want. Unfortunately I was too angry that I lose my appetite and went home early. I gave my cousin his bday gift and said “ Sorry but I don’t want to look at your mom.”

I was happy my uncle defended me but I cried in my car at home…my weight is a huge struggle and I was started to get proud of myself and idk she made me feel like I didn’t accomplish anything.

It’s safe to say I hate AIL Karen, I will never invite her to anything ever again or even talk to her!
