Unable to change focusBGColor

I have this setting saved in RES. While the setting is saved, I still get the default focus background color.

Environment:

Ubuntu 10.10
Chrome 12.0.742.124 (Incognito window, only extension enabled is RES)
RES 3.4
Javascript error console reports 0 messages

Edit:

I was able to duplicate this in Win 7 / Chrome / RES only.

In the process of duplicating it in FF, I found the root issue that should help narrow down the solution.

FocusBGColor works only when using RES light color scheme. Once switched to dark color scheme, the background color reverts to default and FocusBGColor setting is ignored.
