Writing (grammar help) anyone familiar with the Purdue OWL literature rule? Would anyone be willing to help teach/improve my writing so I can pass/exceed upper bachelors/masters level writing?

I’m an out of practice with a BA psychology degree that needs to get his life back on track. One of my personal deficits (whether perceived or actual)/flaws is my writing. I’m applying to a junior college for an First responder/EMT program but I don’t feel confident in passing the English requirement... any advice beyond reading? Thanks in advance!! I appreciate it.
