So, I'm a mechanical engineering junior and I am also an international student. Because of visa issues, it's been tough to find companies that are interested in hiring me.
I've been interviewing for positions with automotive manufacturing companies, which is my career preference. I recently received an offer from a mining company. The pay is fine, but they're only giving me a week to respond to the offer.
I am still waiting to hear back from my interviews with my preferred companies. I am concerned that I won't receive any other offers, so I am considering just accepting it.
However, if I receive an offer from one of the automotive companies later on, I would like to go with them instead. How bad is it if I was to cancel on the other internship if that happens?
