Hey guys,
I've been spending my free time trying to understand how certain effects work on the loopstation that I have, the Boss RC-505. https://www.boss.info/global/products/rc-505/. There are built in effects (such as granular delay, roll, delay, etc.) that create notes if you turn the parameters up. You can see the graphs I have that show how flat or sharp a note on the loopstation is compared to its "real" counterpart (using the standard tuning for a keyboard). So now I'm trying to figure out how the Filter effect works. There are a few parameters (rate, depth, resonance, cutoff, and steprate) that change how the output would sound. I know it's a sinusoidal function of sorts, but I want to understand how the StepRate affects the Filter "shape" but I don't know what the step changes would look like. I hope you guys can help me out, and if you want to see the Matlab code I have I can post it later. Any advice would be appreciated!
