How do you break up subjects for studying?
Post Body

Hey, everyone. I'm currently taking calc I, java programming, chemistry, and technical writing. We're getting close to being 2/3 of the way done with the semester, and while I have A's, I kind of feel like I'm falling behind because of my study schedule. The calc and chem classes seemed like the hardest ones for me, so I prioritized them over programming and writing. Unfortunately, this programming class has caught up to me (professor gives quizzes/tests with methods and techniques that weren't covered).

My previous study schedule was just me starting on math and chem in the morning, then programming a little, and the technical writing class is easy, so i just pick a day and do that week's assignment that day. As the week progressed and I finished math and chem, I'd start implementing more programming. The problem is, by the end of next week, I've pretty much forgotten all the programming topics.

I switched my study schedule to doing programming Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Then I'm doing math and chem, Sunday, Tuesday, and Thursday. Saturday is minimal studying. I'll maybe do 3 hours of studying on Saturday morning to reinforce whatever topics I think need reinforced.

What would you do differently? Or, how do you break up multiple subjects over the week? I'm doing well in the classes, but I want to optimize my retention of the material. I adhere to the pretty standard 45 minutes of studying, 15 minute break method, if that helps.
