Hey fellow engineering students!
I'm looking for a new laptop to replace my shitty Macbook. The laptop will be used mostly for school related work: MATLAB, C programming, Arduino, Office, etc. If it can handle Solidworks, even better! I have a external HD that will be carrying most of my files and such.
Unfortunately my budget is limited, ideally I would like to spend around $600-$700, at most $800 for the right laptop.
Memory express has an awesome deal on a ASUS laptop right now (link is below) and it's tempting. Downside is it's not a SDD. All my devices currently are using a HDD so I'm not sure if there is any benefit of having a SDD for compiling data in MATLAB.
Here is the laptop: http://www.memoryexpress.com/Products/MX54236
Any suggestions or experiences are welcome! Thanks guys.
