Flirting with the idea of converting my MK4 BBC to run on diesel, mainly as a technical challenge and a source of shits and giggles.
I literally can't find any reference online to a bbc being converted to burn oil....that might mean there's a particular reason it's Unfeasable (over and above any other standard petrol to diesel conversion issues).
Hoping it's down to nobody considering it before as it would be unique I suppose.
I'm thinking twin turbocharged (hx52) with common rail fuel delivery via mappable ECU.
The motor is totally stock Winnebago motorhome lump that's done 28k miles and has oval port heads and rv camshaft...turbo 475 gearbox...dana 60 dually axle etc... Lending itself to a d-rod truck build if I can convert to diesel.
Thanks for reading so far.
