Ok, so everyone was so helpful when I asked about trying on rings with a bigger finger. Everyone was right, seeing it in person even if it was on my pinky was still worth it! So now we’ve narrowed down to 2 options, both halos. They’re similar, but different in they’re own rights.

I saw and tried on a Verragio (50830) in its entirety, meaning it was the right metal and center stone. It was GORGEOUS. Like insanely beautiful and I just kind of was captivated by it when I tried it on which I didn’t think would be possible from a piece of jewelry.

The other one was from James Allen, the graduated halo ring. I got to see the halo in person, but the ring was a different metal than I want (it was yellow gold and I’m looking for platinum) and a slightly modified band from what was online (it was plain gold and the ring online has pavé). But I was able to see the halo on it and it was stunning. I saw this one first and felt I was in love, and that it was going to be the one I picked, but I was still going to try the Verragio on after to confirm my feeling.

Now here’s the rub of all of this, like I said, I was able to try on the Verragio as is. So I know what it’s going to look like in its entirety. The problem with the James Allen ring is I wanted to do a radiant for the center stone which will drastically change the shape of the whole ring (saw it with an oval in person). Not to mention that the pictures I have of it in gold just keep throwing me off. So I contacted James Allen about a possible customization for the radiant graduated halo and they said that because of my ring size the ring will be non-refundable.

Well now I’m super nervous! Non-refundable? But what if I don’t like it when I see it? I haven’t been able to see anything like it to know if I’ll truly be happy with it. Not to mention they are taking forever just to give me a quote on how much it will be despite giving all the information needed. I’m also wary of James Allen’s customer service so far as well.

I’m frustrated. The Verragio ring is gorgeous and the jeweler has been amazing to work with and has already told me not to worry about my size impacting the price or their return policy. I’m also wondering if it’s TOO beautiful. It’s flashy. Flashier than I would have imagined. The James Allen one is more understated, but still beautiful.

At this point I’m just rambling, because I honestly do not know what to do. Any advice? How did you decide? Words of wisdom? Lol. Anything. I’m waiting to hear from JA about the price of the custom ring, they said I should have it in a few days. I also have another appointment to go see the Verragio again in July. I’m just so all over the place.
