TMI warning, as usual.
Last night I experienced the worst possible pain I can imagine. It was after I had penetrative sex, which normally never affects my pain, but it was just after one particularly too-deep thrust that I could feel a sharp pain on and around my right ovary.
The pain progressed to my left ovary, all around my front side, the pit of my stomach, and started affecting my backside. There was a sharp, stabbing pain especially on my labia majora, up my urethra, and in my anus. When the pain flared it felt like everything inside of my was connected and my nerves were being pinched. It got so bad that I couldn’t move, could hardly breathe, and felt like I was dying. I seriously thought I was dying last night, I didn’t sleep a wink.
Today, the sharp, stabbing pain only gets bad when I make fast movements or when I have to pee. I haven’t dared try to poop, it hurts so much to relax those muscles. I keep getting the weird dull, achy pain in the pit of my stomach no matter what I’m doing. I’m terrified to be paralyzed by pain again.
This brings me to my question: if that pain happened again, should I go to the ER? What could they do to help me? Would they give me anything for the pain, without me being able to prove that I’m in so much pain? Ibuprofen doesn’t work and I’ve never been given any stronger pain medicine, even after both of my surgeries. The ER is not cheap, and it’s also Texas, so I don’t assume I would get much help. But I’m so scared the pain will return and I wanted to know if I should try to seek help in that case. My gyno isn’t taking more appointments at all this month, so I have to wait to even talk to her.
Thank you all for any help or advice you can give. 💛
