I've just recently graduated college and I've been applying for jobs. Most, if not all, are federal/government (in Parks) so there was a section which asked if I had any disabilities. I listed Endometriosis in the Other category. My condition isn't so bad that I can apply for ADA assistance, I just need a week off or a lesser workload now and again when it flares up unpredictably.
So, I want to know if there's something I can do when hired to protect myself from getting fired or creating a hostile work environment. Should I give my supervisor a note from my doctor explaining my condition and needs? What have you guys done?
Thanks!
