What advice would you offer for recovery? (Laparoscopy in 8 days!)
Post Body

Iā€™m having my first laparoscopic surgery to ā€œofficiallyā€ diagnose & remove endometrial lesions & a deflating cyst. Iā€™ve had a few minor surgeryā€™s, but not sure what to expect since we donā€™t know exactly what sheā€™ll find.

How can I best prepare myself for recovery? What did you wish youā€™d known? Iā€™ve got books & video games galore, Iā€™ll be shopping the day before to get all my favorite comfort foods, we have an adjustable bed so Iā€™ll be able to sit upright while supported....what am I missing? Nurse Boyfriend will be at my beck & call, but Iā€™m fairly independent and I get grumpy about not doing things for myself when Iā€™m doped up.

Thank you for any wisdom!
