You can't be diagnosed with out surgery?
Post Body

Hi everyone!

I went to the ob gyn recently because of painful period cramps (among other things). I mentioned endometreosis and they said it could be that but there's no way to definitively know with out surgery. They switched my birth control and said that could help if it were endometreosis, or it could also help if it were some other hormonal imbalance.

I logged into to my online health account and under ongoing conditions it says endometreosis. Does this mean I have it? Are they just assuming since I won't be having surgery [any time soon]?

Have you had surgery to get diagnosed? If not at what point did you come to the conclusion that it's endo?
