In need of bucking up...
Post Body

I went in for my pre-op lap appointment today and it was going fine until they took blood. I was fine afterwards for a bit but then completely blacked out and nearly vomited.

I've never dealt with little needles (let alone surgery) well and, especially because of this afternoon, I'm pretty nervous. Does anyone have any positive stories to tell me or tips to give? I've read the "Survival Guide" as well as the paperwork from the doctor a ton of times, but still feel unprepared.

Thanks so much for the comment! We sound very similar. When I had my wisdom teeth out my biggest fear was the IV too and it's the same this time around.

I'm glad your surgery went well. That gives me confidence.
