Mirena coil effects on GI symptoms?

Hi lovely redditers, Long time lurker, infrequent poster. Diagnosed via MRI with ‘endometriosis with rectal involvement’ earlier this year. Treatment options offered on NHS were Mirena coil or Zoladex.

My main symptom of endo is crippling intestinal pain and cyclical pr bleeding.

For anyone who has had Mirena coil and has mainly GI endo symptoms, during the time you had the prolonged spotting that is common at the start, how were those GI symptoms? I don’t think I could deal with it if those stomach pains lasted months — period uterine cramps only sure — and neither my gynae or GP could give indicator of likelihood.
